Luann Thornton Ellis
In the summer of 2000, New Jersey native, Luann Ellis traded the snow for the sunny Gulf Coast, and has called Ocean Springs home ever since. With her, she brought a passion for creative food with fresh and unique ingredients. After managing a fine dining restaurant in New Jersey for eighteen years and another in Ocean Springs for five years, the opportunity for ownership presented itself. Starting out small, she opened a 600 square foot sandwhich shop, showcasing her creativity and desire to please. After five successful years, the opportunity for growth presented itself once again and Luann took the leap. In July 2013, Maison De Lu found its new home- a brand new building in the heart of downtown Ocean Springs. Not only did the new space triple the capability with out-door dining, it also gained a full bar. She is now open six days a week serving two different creative menus for lunch and dinner.
